We believe date nights are essential for all couples – dating, engaged, AND married! Date Night with FFI provides married couples with an opportunity to spend quality time together, enjoy each other’s company, and have fun building up the gift of their marriage.
The pandemic with its lockdowns and uncertainties brought struggles and tensions to many marriages (new or newly surfaced). But God brings good out of all things. Take an evening to acknowledge what was hard, what was disappointing, and then to reflect on the silver lining (note: sometimes blessings come in disguise!)
Debbie and Peter have been married for 32 years, they live in Ann Arbor, Michigan and have four children and seven grandchildren. They have spoken previously at the FFI Marriage Conference in 2019 and they lead many other conferences and spiritual retreats across the US, Canada and internationally. Both Peter and Debbie have written several books, and together co-authored When the Spirit Speaks: Touched by God’s Word. In 2011, Peter and Debbie helped launch id (Intentional Disciples), an outreach of Renewal Ministries that equips young adult Catholics to live as intentional disciples.
Debra Herbeck speaks at conferences and retreats about spiritual growth, discipleship, and her own journey from Judaism to the Catholic Church. For the past thirty-five years, she has worked extensively in youth and women’s ministry and is the founder of Be Love Revolution, a ministry for high school girls. Peter Herbeck is the vice president and director of missions for Renewal Ministries. He has been actively involved in evangelization and Catholic renewal throughout the US, Canada, Africa, and Eastern Europe for more than thirty years. Peter is a co-host for the weekly EWTN television programs The Choices We Face and Crossing the Goal. He also hosts the daily radio show Fire on the Earth.
Peter and Debbie Herbeck will give two talks about the importance of acknowledging a difficulty or a disappointment. They will provide tips on how to communicate during challenges.
Take the time to be together. Use this date night as an opportunity to catch up on each other’s lives and talk about how things are going.
Use the chat bar to ask Peter and Debbie a question about marriage or any other relevant issues that they bring up in their talks.
